Liverpool Sound City continues with Fucked Up, The Flaming Lips, Black Honey & more

Day two of the fest takes place today, with DIY hosting the Baltic Stage.

Just about recovered from Swans’ almighty spell and The Vaccines’ triumphant day one-closing set, Sound City continues today on Bramley-Moore Dock.

Settling into its new location, day two’s highlights include The Flaming Lips, Fucked Up (pictured, top) and Brighton force Black Honey.

DIY is back at the gigantic space of the Baltic Stage today. The action kicks off just after midday with LIVES, before Wirral’s Hooton Tennis Club and DIY favourites God Damn play late afternoon sets.

Fucked Up headline the Baltic Stage. Expanded to a nine-piece, they’ll be preceded by Unknown Mortal Orchestra, whose ‘Multi-Love’ LP comes out next week.

Other highlights include Brooklyn alt-pop newcomer Tei Shi, the ferocious Bad Breeding, folk favourite Flo Morrissey, plus Spring King, Gengahr, Real Lies, Aquilo and New Zealand duo Klo.

Before racing into day two, catch up with DIY’s report and photos from the first day of action, featuring The Vaccines, Spector, Everything Everything, Iceage and loads more.
