Radiohead’s Philip Selway gives album update: “We’re just launching ourselves into it”
Drummer says the band are heading into autumn with the aim of completing a follow-up to ‘The King of Limbs’.
Radiohead drummer Philip Selway has given a progress report on a new album, which they’ve been working towards this year.
Speaking to the Press Association for a 6 Music Celebrates Libraries event, Selway said Radiohead aim to finish the follow-up to ‘The King of Limbs’ very soon. “We’ve got quite a busy autumn coming up. We want to finish a record and that’s where we’re at. We’re just launching ourselves into it… We’re back into it,” he said.
He added: “Being asked about Radiohead never becomes a tiresome question; the fact that people are still interested, that can only be a wonderful thing.”
Selway will be joined by Elbow frontman Guy Garvey and New Order’s Stephen Morris for a BBC Radio 6 Music show this Sunday (6th September) at 2pm, aired from Manchester Central Library.
