Alex G has a new ‘Brite Boy’ video

The warped animated clip accompanies his ‘Beach Music’ single.

Alex G’s sketched cartoons are as integral to his charm as his equally lo-fi music, so it’s fitting that they take centre stage for his new ‘Brite Boy’ video.

In it, a doggy road trip (starring that ever-present dog character off his t-shirts and the like) takes a pretty dark and trippy turn, matching the track’s ever-increasing wooziness. Taken from his ace new album ‘Beach Music’, out now on Domino, you can check out the video below.

To celebrate, he’s also announced a UK trip as part of a big old world tour, slotting in some headliners ahead of his run with Ipswich emos Basement - dates for that are as follows.

02 Brighton, Bleach
03 Cardiff, Clwb Ifor Bach
04 Sheffield, Harley
05 Nottingham, Bodega
07 Bristol, Marble Factory (w/ Basement)
08 Glasgow, King Tut’s (w/ Basement)
09 Leeds, Stylus (w/ Basement)
10 Manchester, Academy 2 (w/ Basement)
11 Norwich, Waterfront (w/ Basement)
12 London, O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire (w/ Basement)
