Floating Points was at the helm of Radio 1’s latest essential mix on Saturday (28th November), and the show is now available to listen to online.
During the show, Sam Shepherd spun tracks from the likes of Pearson Sound and the late Gil Scott-Heron.
Floating Points released his debut LP ‘Elaenia’ last month, “a headphones record, one with intimate, subtle details.” Speaking to DIY about the record recently, Shepherd said: “It’s like an experiment I guess, but one that at no point shouldn’t be nice to listen to.”
Floating Points’ Essential Mix is available to listen to in full here. He plays two nights at London’s Brixton Electric in February.
