WEIRDS share sludge-covered ‘Blood Test’ track

Leeds group unleash their inner darkness.

Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from WEIRDS.

WEIRDS aren’t shy in putting their cards on the table. With the Matt Peel-produced ‘Blood Test’, the Leeds group bring a deranged take to sludgy, in-your-face noise.

Aidan Razzall leads the charge. He’s in vicious mood, pinballing between the group’s cascading, sky-reaching force like he’s ready to beat gravity. There’s a sense of limitless racing round ‘Blood Test’ - it’s a band taking their next step and refusing to rest on their laurels.

Catch WEIRDS at the following dates:

11 Hull, TBA
12 Leeds, Belgrave Music Hall (w/ Blacklisters)
