Warpaint have started recording their new album

Group post a Bowie-soundtracked clip from their new sessions.

Warpaint have officially started work on their third album, the follow-up to a 2014 self-titled LP.

The Los Angeles group posted a short clip to their Instagram page, soundtracked by the late David Bowie’s ‘Golden Years’. “Beautiful day to start a record,” the caption reads.

Back in December, drummer Stella Mozgawa told DIY that a new LP could surface in 2016. “It just helps us focus in the moment that we’re actually together and I think that’s a pretty beneficial thing. We’re working pretty consistently and with focus to finish it,” she told Emma Snook.

“Things are a little more dancey perhaps, a little higher on the BPM scale,” she added, describing the new material.
