Hookworms are set to play an LCD Soundsystem covers set at a floods fundraiser

The money-raising venture is aiming to help local venue The Trades Club to get back on its feet.

After suffering their own blows at the hands of the North England flooding at the start of this year, Hookworms are now extending a hand to other local businesses affected, with an LCD Soundsystem covers set from the band set to take place to raise funds for local Hebden Bridge venue The Trades Club.

“We were only meant to play our LCD Soundsystem cover set as a one-off for the New Year’s Eve party at the Brudenell,” explain the band, “but The Trades Club and Hebden Bridge mean a lot to us, and the damage in that area caused by the flooding is heartbreaking so we’re going to give it one more shot to try raise some money. “Getting the band back together after just 29 days also seems very much in keeping with the spirit of the real LCD Soundsystem in light of the recent reunion news…”

Tickets for the show can be nabbed right here. Catch up with DIY’s interview with Hookworms here.
