Bonza! Alvvays to support Courtney Barnett in the States

Alvvays by Carolina Faruolo

Same tour line-up in the UK please, cheers.

In the middle of penning the follow-up to their self-titled debut album, Alvvays have announced an American tour, supporting Courtney Barnett. Please can we have the same tour line-up in the UK?

Along with their North American tour, Alvvays will make their first ever appearance at Coachella festival, and they’ll also tour Australia in March. Meanwhile, they will also open for The Jesus and Mary Chain at their Melbourne show.

Alvvays are also busy writing album number two in Toronto. Speaking to DIY about the new record last year, the band’s Alec O’Hanley told us “We’ve been recording in our basement. We found the same tape machine that we did the first record on, so we’ve been writing, recording, for the last three weeks. It’s tricky to do on the road - can’t really kart around a 1983 reel-to-reel everywhere. We never really stop writing, though.”
