Outlander Season Two gets air date

Amazon have confirmed that the second series will be aired from 10th April.

Amazon have announced 10th April as the launch date for the long awaited second season of Outlander.

Amazon Prime members in the UK will have exclusive access to the new episodes weekly, a day after they air on the US channel Starz.

The 13 episode run is based on the second of Diana Gabadon’s 8 book best-selling Outlander series and sees Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) arrive in France and attempt to infiltrate the Jacobite rebellion and stop the Battle of Culloden.

Executively produced by Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica) with returning cast including Tobias Menzies (Casino Royale), Graham McTavish (Creed), Gary Lewis (Gangs of New York), Duncan Lacroix (Vikings) and Rose Day (The Seasoning House) with Sophie Skelton (Waterloo Road) joining the cast.
