Not many trailers induce as much excitement and scrutiny than a new glimpse of Game of Thrones so with HBO releasing the latest tease of Season Six the speculation has begun in earnest.
Coming to Sky Atlantic on Monday 25th April, Season Six is the one where all bets are off. Those that had read the books at least had an idea of what was to come next with the series being largely faithful to George R.R. Martin’s novels but with the show now overtaking the notoriously slow-writing Martin no one has a clue what to expect. Is Jon Snow really dead? (say it aint so), it certainly looks like his stricken body on the slab at 1:13 but we all know that actor Kit Harington has been on set so there are hopes for a resurrection of some sorts.
We also see a somewhat dishevelled Daenerys Targaryen (Emelia Clarke) who appears to be imprisoned, Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) rousing his sister/lover Cersei (Lena Headey) into action - something she clearly takes on board as she prepares to battle her religious fanatic cousin Lancel (Eugene Simon) - the best though is saved for last with Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) seemingly encountering the leader of the White Walkers and Ser Davos (Liam Cunningham) facing off against the Night’s Watch. Blimey.
