We’re teaming up with Jägermeister once more to host Jäger Curtain Call, with three more acts set to make their way down Curtain Road, stopping at the ‘well famous’ Strongroom studios to record a new track, before pairing up with a headliner to play a gig at one of the street’s iconic venues.
Last time, Birdskulls recorded ‘Clawing at the Wall’ before heading to the Strongroom bar to play alongside Birmingham noiseniks Johnny Foreigner, Kagoule laid down ‘Pharmacy’ ahead of a co-headline with North-East noisy boys Demob Happy at The Old Blue Last, and Cut Ribbons, er, cut ‘Helen of Troy’ in advance of supporting math-rock trio Tall Ships at the Queen of Hoxton.
While this year’s artists are yet to be announced - stay tuned for news on that one - we can reveal the gigs will be on 5th October, 9th November and 17th December.
Jäger’s Head of Music, Tom Carson says “There’s so much great music being released right now it’s dizzying to keep on top of it as a music lover, let alone being in a group playing it! With DIY’s always finely tuned ear for the best new music we hope to give the right band the lift they need to stand head and shoulders over other acts.” Aww. Isn’t that nice?
