Jay Z and Kanye West aren’t mates anymore and it’s very upsetting
There won’t be a ‘Watch The Throne 2’. Hurts, doesn’t it?
Thought Brad and Angelina was the worst of your worries this autumn? Think again - the Kanye West and Jay Z bromance is over. Yes, really.
The ‘Watch The Throne’ pair’s dirty laundry first saw fresh air last week, when Kanye took to his fancy floaty stage to denounce their friendship, announce that “there will never be a ‘Watch The Throne 2’,” and kick off about “some Tidal/Apple bullshit” that stopped him from appearing on Drake’s latest album ‘VIEWS’ (which was an Apple exclusive).
“Don’t call me, after the robbery, and say ‘How you feelin?’ You wanna know how I’m feelin? Come by the house,” he then spat, in reference to his wife Kim Kardashian-West’s recent gunpoint robbery in Paris.
It’s all quite sad, to be honest. Over the weekend, Roc-a-Fella records co-founder Kareem Burke told gossip mag Page Six that he “was shocked to hear what Kanye said onstage. There was never anything rumbling. When you hear these things in public, it’s a little shocking.”
“The last I saw [West], he spoke really highly of Jay,” he continued. “I’m not sure about the relationship at this point. I spoke to Jay [after Kanye’s rant] and we’re both just like, ‘We miss the old Kanye.’ From what I know of Kanye, he’s usually really honest. So it sounds like something he’s going through right now. He may [say] something like that, and then three weeks later he may be back to, ‘That’s my brother.’ But at this point, with everybody’s career, we’re a little too old for rap beef.”
To be honest, it’s all a bit too much. RIP KanJay. We hardly knew ye.
