Dead Pretties share debut track ‘Social Experiment’

The fast-rising rabble played DIY’s Hello 2017 earlier this month.

Fresh from taking their clown-costume chaos to London’s Old Blue Last - as part of DIY’s very own series of Hello 2017 shows - earlier this month, Dead Pretties have wasted no time in unleashing their debut track.

A scrappy, squalling first outing, ‘Social Experiment’ bites with razor-sharp jaws, taking on a familar old chestnut. Yep, the internet. “It seems people of a similar age to us are so focused on becoming what others want them to be,”say the band of the song, “they distort their own identity in order to be accepted into the herd; the pack. We are a generation of sheep. It’s fucking sad.”

‘Social Experiment’ is out on 10th Feb on Nice Swan Records, as a nice shiny limited-edition 7” single. Pre-order it, if you fancy.

Dead Pretties have a bunch of other shows on the horizon too, and are playing alongside DIY faves Spring King at the end of this month. Scroll down for all of their upcoming gigs, and hit play on the ferocious ‘Social Experiment’ while you’re at it.
