Road to SXSW Blaenavon, Doe & Muncie Girls to take on SXSW for DIY & TicketWeb showcase

Blaenavon, Doe & Muncie Girls to take on SXSW for DIY & TicketWeb showcase

We’ll be taking over the British Music Embassy in Austin, Texas for an evening of ace new talent.

It won’t be long until loads of our favourite new bands are packing their passports and boarding planes to Texas for this year’s edition of SXSW. What’s even more exciting is that DIY will be joining them(!) when we head Stateside from 10th to 19th March.

We’ll be Austin-bound next month and while we’re there, we’ll be putting on two shows all of our own. For the first showcase, we’re teaming up with TicketWeb to take over evening proceedings at the British Music Embassy at Latitude 30 on Monday 13th March, where we’ll be offering up some of the best British bands gracing the festival this year.

Our Class of 2017 stars Blaenavon will be offering up a taste of their debut ‘That’s Your Lot’, while Exeter punks Muncie Girls will be providing a powerful closing set to the night. Elsewhere, the ace Forth Wanderers and infectious SuperGlu will both be playing, alongside Jamie Isaac, who appeared at DIY In The Sky at last year’s Reeperbahn Festival.

Plus, we’ll be catching up with the brilliantly fuzzy Doe - one of this year’s International Showcase Fund-supported acts - along the way, as they make their journey from the UK right to the stage, as part of a partnership with PRS For Music Foundation and M Magazine.

Oh, and we’ll have something very special with us at the show - keeps your eyes peeled over the next few weeks to find out exactly what…

The full line-up for our first show is as follows.
