Willie J Healey has aired new track ‘Greys’

He’s also announced a bunch of tour dates supporting Palace.

Willie J Healey says that his new track ‘Greys’ embodies “the feeling of routine and boredom. It’s about believing that nobody would even notice if you were abducted, in this case by aliens.” Now there’s an attention-grabbing explanation.

Yep, the slacker-pop maestro’s latest single is a quick-fire burst of fuzzy and scuzzy guitar riffs and clashing drums. It’s a bit of an oldie but a goodie as well, as the song has gone through something of an evolution from being a stripped-back musing to its new, more raucous incarnation.

As well as sharing the new track, Willie has also announced a bunch of shows as a special guest on Palace’s upcoming UK tour in April, which includes a date at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on the 27th. Not only that, but he’s also set to play a solo show on 24th March at London’s Kamio as part of Phil Taggart’s Slacker Night.
