Gorillaz announce live return at Demon Dayz Festival

An advert first appeared in a morning newspaper, and the news is now confirmed.

This morning, an advert for a new Demon Dayz Festival was spotted in the Metro newspaper.

Everyone’s favourite virtual reality monkey band Gorillaz seemed to have covertly announced their live comeback, and the news has now been confirmed.

The advert reveals the inaugural Demon Dayz festival, headlined by the band, which will take place at Dreamland, Margate on June 10th.

We spoke to the band’s Jamie Hewlett back at the end of 2015, when he confirmed that he and Damon Albarn were in the “cooking of the mess”, working on the follow-up to the band’s third album ‘Plastic Beach’.

Since then, they’ve been teasing all manner of things regarding a comeback, and at the start of the year, they finally shared new material in the form of ‘Hallelujah Money’, a track that features Benjamin Clementine.
