A couple of months after unleashing their satirical video for ‘I Love The USA’ and the deluxe release of their ‘White Album,’ Weezer are back with a brand new track!
‘Feels Like Summer’ is a poppy, upbeat number from the band, and, as reported by Pitchfork, it’s the first taste of what to expect from their upcoming eleventh album (!!) The new track is also accompanied by a kind of strange, dark video. The band are depicted as white line drawings against a black background, while some weird things happen. At one point Rivers’ tongue envelops his head before bursting out in a mass of eyeballs. There’s a lot of skin-shedding too. Yeah, it’s a bit creepy sometimes.
Not only that, but Rivers Cuomo and co. are set to tour around the UK and Europe this October, announcing a string of dates. While in the UK, they’ll head to Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, and London (Wembley Arena no less). Tickets for the UK shows go on sale from 9am on Friday 24th March (yep, bit of an agonising wait there).
