Malteaser: Matt Maltese fails to understand personal space in his ‘As The World Caves In’ video

Matt Maltese fails to understand personal space in his ‘As The World Caves In’ video

South London’s own saucy warbler interrupts a night of passion. Woops.

Few things in life sound worse than walking in on Donald Trump and Theresa May during a heatedl night of passion (sorry to burden you all with the mental image right before lunch time) but that’s pretty much what Matt Maltese does in his new video for ’As The World Caves In’. Ew.

In fact, the South London saucy warbler doesn’t just walk in on the characters - loosely inspired by the USA and UK’s respective forces of evil - he joins them during a romantic bath-time, and sits nearby as the dastardly pair make their own crosses, and hold their own funeral, before triggering atomic war.

“Hopefully it comes across romantic, sexy, but also sinister and stupid,” Matt Maltese toldThe FADER. ”It goes without saying but everything’s a bit sinister and stupid in 2017.”

Directed by Sam Hiscox, the video for ’As The World Caves In’ features cameos from a load of Matt Maltese’s South London pals, including members of Goat Girl, Dead Pretties and Sorry.
