Benjamin Booker shares new track ‘Right On You’

He’ll also be supporting Kings of Leon at BST Hyde Park in July.

Benjamin Booker is gearing up to release his much-anticipated sophomore album ‘Witness’ in June through Rough Trade, which promises to dig more deeply into Benjamin’s love for eccentric soul music while maintaining the garage-punk edge of his debut.

Having already shared the Mavis Staples-featuring title track, he’s now unveiled a new cut from the LP, ‘Right On You.’ The opening track of ‘Witness,’ it’s a rollicking, growling slice of searing psych-tinged punk that, according to Benjamin, is about “about the selfish, lonely and hedonistic nature of modern life, where death is ‘right on you’ but seems ‘hard to imagine’.”

Benjamin has also confirmed that he’ll be supporting Kings Of Leon at their BST Hyde Park show in London on 6th July. They’ll be joined by icons Pixies, as well as Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats. Not a bad little line-up, eh?
