London duo WOWH dish up effervescent synth pop kicks on ‘Suffer’

The pair are also playing London’s The Islington tonight

Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from WOWH.

Pop out your chair for a sec, look out the window and what do you see? Oncoming political apocalypse? No, not that one. We weren’t talking about that. Sun! It’s sunny! It’s nearly summer, everyone!

If you need a tune to make you appreciate the latter and temporarily forget the former, at least for a few minutes, then wrap your ears around London duo WOWH’s latest effervescent offering ‘Suffer’.

Landing somewhere between Two Door Cinema Club’s recent disco struts on latest album ‘Gameshow’ and M83’s shimmering synth pop (with a dash of bouncy Phoenix-isms thrown in), it’s a sugary shoulder-shimmy of a track perfect for soundtracking those hazy summer evenings when you’ve had a few too many proseccos and might make an ill-advised move on your boss.

The pair also play London’s The Islington tonight (April 19) so get tomorrow’s awkward water cooler conversation prepped and ready. Sorry sir.
