Coming soon: The 1975’s new album is called ‘Music For Cars’

The 1975’s new album is called ‘Music For Cars’

Matt Healy announced the news in an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1.

Back in February, The 1975’s Matt Healy tweeted “Music For Cars - 2018”, hinting at the title of the band’s third album, and follow-up to last year’s huge ‘i like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it’.

Today, he joined Zane Lowe for an interview on Beats 1 radio, and confirmed the news.

“The next record’s called ‘Music For Cars’,” he told Lowe. “That’s the title and it references our 2nd EP or our 3rd EP.”

Zane Lowe’s had a bloody busy day then, after announcing new albums from both Haim and Fall Out Boy, as well as sharing a new Phoenix song.

The 1975 are currently on a huge US tour with Pale Waves. Listen to the Beats 1 interview below.
