The 50th series of Jools Holland continued apace last night after a stormer of a show featuring Japandroids, Benjamin Booker and Sigrid last week.
Warm up warm though, because it was a bit of a frosty one! First up Alt-J, who played their binary-referencing latest single ‘In Cold Blood’. There was no sign of Iggy Pop to narrate mind, but it was still a bit of a blinder. Speaking of blinders, Maggie Rogers took to the stage to perform her breakthrough single ‘Alaska’ in all its pop glory. She was also wearing a very colourful suit with shapes and plants painted on to it in bold swipes, harking back a little bit to the ‘On + Off’ video. Basically, she was completely on point.
Watch Alt-J play ‘In Cold Blood’ and Maggie Rogers perform ‘Alaska’ below.
Alt-J will play Rock Werchter (29th June-2nd July), Mad Cool (6th-8th July), Sziget (9th-16th August), and Lowlands (18th-20th August), while Maggie Rogers will play Rock Werchter (29th June-2nd July), Latitude (13th-16th July) and Citadel (16th July), where DIY is an official media partner.
