Neu Pick: Fearing get dark in ‘Another Night’ video

Today’s Neu Pick is taken from the band’s new EP ‘A Life Of None’, out Friday (26th May).

Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from Fearing.

Oakland, California punks Fearing are releasing their debut EP ’A Life Of None’ on Friday (26th May), and we’ve got the first play of the new video for its single ‘Another Night’.

The clip, a woozy, dark trip with flashes of colour, perfectly complements the track, the band’s take on blackened post-punk, which revolves around the booming, almost unbelievably deep vocals of James Rogers, who brings the track’s almost shoegaze-y chorus-of-sorts back down to earth.

Fearing can easily be compared to your Joy Divisions and Echo and the Bunnymen, but it’s Rogers’ vocals that set them apart and push them forward as a unique proposition.

‘A Life Of None’ comes out on Friday. Watch the video for ‘Another Night’ below.
