Neu Pick: SuperGlu stick around on ‘Welcome Home’

SuperGlu stick around on ‘Welcome Home’

The latest addition to the Communion Singles Club is today’s Neu Pick.

Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from SuperGlu.

When Manningtree (Britain’s smallest town, fact fans) four-piece SuperGlu played our showcase out at this year’s SXSW in Austin, Texas, they provided ”bright, all-encompassing bursts of noise, where fun comes first”.

On new single ‘Welcome Home’, today’s Neu Pick, the joy factor clearly hasn’t taken a back seat, and the track feels like if Japandroids rocked up to CBGBs in the mid-’70s.

“I can’t get over this feeling it’s so good,” they yell, and there’s positive, vital emotion gushing out of the track, and of SuperGlu in general. It’s near impossible not to be whipped up in it.

‘Welcome Home’ comes out via the Communion Singles Club, and the band are set to play a host of shows across the rest of the year, including a set at Latitude. View the dates and listen to ‘Welcome Home’ below.
