DZ Deathrays reveal new single, ‘Shred For Summer’

It comes ahead of a string of UK tour dates.

See, dear readers, it may be - and definitely looks like from our window - the tail end of summer here in the UK, and so, you may think, an odd time for a band to release a track called ‘Shred For Summer’. But, friends, DZ Deathrays are Australian, and so it makes perfect sense!

The track is released as a single on 3rd August via Alcopop!, and is described by vocalist/guitarist thus: “For a long time i’ve wanted to write a song that is just about my love of playing guitar, this is the closest thing we have made to that. We were influenced by artists such as Zeppelin, Oasis and Future of the Left. It has a few guitar clichés thrown in there for good measure and i think this will become a favourite of ours to play live.”

DZ Deathrays’ UK tour dates are:

24 Brighton Hope & Ruin
25 Bridgend Hobos
26 St Albans The Horn
27 London The Monarch
28 London Camden Assembly

Tickets are on sale now.
