Swedish sensation Skott revealed her video for ‘Mermaid’ a bit earlier in the year, and ahead of some tour dates in the UK this month she’s unveiled another new track.
‘Remain’ takes her blend of electro-pop and folk and turns the lights down low a little, transforming the song into a slow-burning affair that gradually introduces twinkling synths and hissing percussive elements. Skott’s voice is also shrouded in mystery, veiled behind vocal effects – not that that does anything to dampen the power of her voice, mind.
As previously mentioned, the singer is set to play an already sold out show at London’s Pickle Factory on 13th September before embarking on a nationwide tour supporting fellow Scandinavian sensation MØ.
Earlier in the year we caught up with Skott to talk about her anything but ordinary rise to pop prominence. Catch up with the interview here.
