Neu Pick: Dublin’s Other Creatures present the creepy, huge ‘Luxembourg’

Dublin’s Other Creatures present the creepy, huge ‘Luxembourg’

The track is the first lifted from new release ‘The First EP’.

Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from Other Creatures.

Dublin trio Other Creatures are gearing up to release a new EP, suitably titled ‘The First EP’. The first taster of the collection - new cut ‘Luxembourg’ - is our Neu Pick for today.

Centred around spiky, creeping guitars, the track is in equal parts unsettling, anxiety-fuelled yet anthemic. Anxiety creeps into its lyrics too: “I sit here by myself because I might regret it later,” the band sing.

“We spent about a year trying to find one while in the meantime we would make instrumental songs which in hindsight were pretty terrible but I think tightened us up as a band quite a lot,” the band say of their last year and search for a new member.

The band are set to play a headline show at The Islington in London on 14th November.
