Lionsgate have released the first image from sci-fi film Chaos Walking, set for release in March 2019.

Based on the award winning young adult book, The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness (A Monster Calls), Chaos Walking stars Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming) and Daisy Ridley and is set on an alien planet recently colonised by humans. Young Todd Hewitt (Holland) has been told that all the women and nearly all the men in the colony were killed during a war with the planet’s native inhabitants, the Spackle, who released a germ that caused most of the deaths. This germ created a side-effect in survivors – hearing the constant noise of each other’s thoughts. A chance encounter with a mysterious girl (Ridley) sees Todd question everything he has been told.
Directed by Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow), Chaos Walking also stars Mads Mikkelsen, David Oyelowo and Nick Jonas.

Chaos Walking is released in cinemas in Spring 2019.
