Lovebox and Citadel are moving to Brockwell Park in 2018

The London festivals are crossing the river next year.

Lovebox and Citadel have been residing in East London’s Victoria Park, but next year they’re set to cross the River Thames to a new location.

In 2018, both events will be held at Brockwell Park in South London. Jools Butterfield, founder of Lovebox, said in a statement: “Nothing stays the same forever, and after thirteen very happy years in East London, it’s time to open a new, ever more colourful chapter in our history as we go back to our South London roots and make our new home in beautiful Brockwell Park.”

Meanwhile, Rory Bett, CEO of MAMA Festivals, stated: “Citadel represents this great city and it’s an honour for us to work in the beautifully situated Brockwell Park and delve into the inspiring music, art and culture flowing from South London”.

This year’s Citadel saw Foals, Wild Beasts, Laura Marling, Maggie Rogers and many more performing. Line-ups for both festivals for 2018 will be announced soon.

Citadel 2018 gets underway on Sunday 15th July, with tickets on sale soon.

Meanwhile, Lovebox will get underway between Friday 13th and Saturday 14th July. Early bird tickets are on sale now.
