Interview: Michael Gracey talks The Greatest Showman

We spoke with the director about how he landed such a huge film for his feature debut.

The enormously fun and colourful musical, The Greatest Showman lands in UK cinemas on Boxing Day. Inspired by the true story of showman P.T. Barnum (Hugh Jackman) and featuring original songs from the Oscar winning duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land) the film also stars Michelle Williams, Zac Efron, Zendaya and Rebecca Ferguson.

Ahead of the release, DIY sashayed down to the press junket to speak with director Michael Gracey about how he landed such a huge film for his feature debut and how he convinced Zac Efron to return to musicals.

The Greatest Showman is released in UK cinemas on December 26th from Twentieth Century Fox. Watch our interview below.
