Bat For Lashes shares new short film ‘Light Beings’

Natasha Khan wrote and directed the clip, collaborating with The Haxan Cloak on the soundtrack.

Bat For Lashes’ Natasha Khan has shared a new short film!

She’s written and directed ‘Light Beings’ for DITA, which stars Margaret Qualley (from ‘The Leftovers’) and Jamie Strachan. The cinematic short is a tale of attraction that brings the two characters (one human, the other the eponymous being covered in tiny glowing lights) in quite a breath-takingly cinematic display.

She’s also provided the mysterious score for the film too, which was made in collaboration with The Haxan Cloak’s Bobby Krlic. It’s subtle but also haunting, capturing the sense of attraction that the pair feel for each other.

Bat For Lashes released her last album ‘The Bride’ back in 2016. Back then, we talked to her all about it; catch up here
