DRINKS (aka Cate Le Bon and Tim Presley) announce new album ‘Hippo Lite’

They’ve also shared new track ‘Real Outside’.

Back in 2015, Cate Le Bon and Tim Presley teamed up to release an album called ‘Hermits on Holiday’ under the name DRINKS.

Now they’re back with details of a brand new album! As reported by Stereogum, new record ‘Hippo Lite’ is coming out on 20th April through Drag City. It’s named after Saint-Hippolyte-du-Fort, a small town in southern France where they recorded the album. Cate describes the album as: “An album made for each other by one another with no hands, eyes, or ears piercing the bubble other than that of dear friend Stephen Black who kept note of it all”.

Meanwhile, Tim says: “This is a broken music. a crumble. It’s the music of the building we called home for a month. We’ve never made & recorded music in such a simple living environment”.

The pair are previewing the album with ‘Real Outside’, a post-punk slice. Listen to ‘Real Outside’ and see the tracklisting for ‘Hippo Lite’ below.
