Julie Byrne announces a new Brighton show

She’ll play at St George’s Church in June.

After releasing her collection of folk-infused gems ‘Not Even Happiness’ last year, New York singer-songwriter Julie Byrne has announced a brief return to the UK.

She’s set to play at Brighton’s St George’s Church on Saturday 9th June, where she’ll be joined by some special guests. Tickets go on sale from 9am on Friday 16th February

In our review of ‘Not Even Happiness’ last year, we said: “She’s a storyteller, evoking stunning images by singing of details such as the “verdant field” and “sun split ember,” and painting the American landscape in vivid colours. It’s a deeply romantic vision in all senses of the term”.
