Lucy Dacus shares new track ‘Next of Kin’

It’s another slice from her upcoming album ‘Historian’.

With her new album ‘Historian’ coming out on 2nd March through Matador, Lucy Dacus has already shared two new tracks: ‘Night Shift’ and ‘Addictions’.

Now she’s back with another new cut from the record. ‘Next of Kin’ kicks off with a storming drumbeat before settling into something much sparser and more measured, with Lucy’s lyrics cutting through. Lucy said of the track: “It’s a breaking point after a build up of difficult subject matter. It’s a song about accepting fate, forgetting fear, and allowing yourself to be incomplete always”.

Lucy’s going on a UK tour in support of ‘Historian’ too. It kicks off in April as part of a wider European run and she’ll head to Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, London and Brighton along the way. Tickets are on sale now.
