Last year (as well as doing a really very, very good album with Paramore), Zac Farro’s project HalfNoise released a new EP called ‘The Velvet Face’.
Now, a few months down the line, they’ve announced plans to release another new EP! ‘Flowerss’ is out on 4th May through Nashville collective Congrats. It’s a six-track collection that’s been recorded at Nashville’s Club Roar, mixed by Carlos de la Garzo, who’s also worked with Tegan and Sara, Ziggy Marley, and Young the Giant.
As well as announcing the new record, Zac and co have also shared the title track, a slice of dreamy, buoyant, psych-inflected alt-rock that features a bunch of warped guitar riffs. It feels like a natural step from the tracks that featured on ‘The Velvet Face’.
Listen to ‘Flowerss’ below.
