Neu Pick: Tune in to Ghum’s new video for ‘TV’

Tune in to Ghum’s new video for ‘TV’

Today’s Neu Pick comes ahead of live dates with Dream Wife and Doe.

London quartet Ghum - formed from as far afield as Spain and Brazil - released their excellent debut EP last year. Today, we’re sharing their new video for its track ‘TV’ as our Neu Pick. A hazy clip, the new ‘TV’ video is full of sledgehammers and smashed tellies.

Talking about the track to us over email, the band say: “The song is about the feeling of being so infatuated with someone that you can’t stop looking at them just like a TV - but similar to binge watching, this particular infatuation quickly developed into something masochistic.

“When you’re at the height of so many emotions people tend to go through the sweet phase, the anger phase and the pure dysphoria phase. We wanted to take these emotions and culminate in a scene for each phase or feeling in the best way we know: head banging, breaking things and old TVs.”

View the band’s upcoming tour dates, including shows with Dream Wife, Doe and more, and watch the video for ‘TV’ below.
