After returning with their blend of “trip jam” last year with the hypnotic ‘Scared After All (Touch My Body)’, Peluché are back with another genre-slicing, astral cut.
Coming out on their own label Big Teddy Records, ‘Keep Making Me Happy’ again presents their collectively-focused and personal musical vision. While it feels airy on the surface, its light touch belies its deeply textured nature. Across a foundation of deeply rhythmic drums and light guitar riffs, it builds up moments of liberated intensity, bursting out into clashing percussion and choppy vocal loops.
The band say of the track: “Keep Making Me Happy developed from a mood and an unspoken feeling - we were jamming in our shed to some old Ibiza Club Classics and suddenly the bassline, beat and atmospheric sounds arose, built and repeated until we were lost in the rhythm of the groove”.
Peluché are set to headline The Shacklewell Arms in London on 5th June.
