DIY are teaming up with 53 Degrees North for their youth-centric music conference

Stand by for a massive music line-up announcement from the Hull event too…

Last year saw the inaugural edition of 53 Degrees North - a new, accessible and youth-centric music event - take over Hull.

Run by youth charity The Warren, it combined panels and talks aimed at educating young people about working in the music industry with a banging line-up of live musical treats.

Featuring live sets from the likes of Idles and LIFE, alongside a wealth of influential guest speakers, its aim was to cut through the jargon and provide some on-the-ground, useful information for those wanting to get involved in all elements of music.

This year, DIY are teaming up with 53 Degrees North to help them bring an even bigger and better event, second time around.

Taking place at Hull’s Truck Theatre on 4th and 5th June for a super-affordable price of £5 per day, this year’s conference will blend panels, masterclasses, live performances and speakers - including a special panel delivered by yours truly, us lot at DIY.

What’s more, there’s an absolutely huge live line-up due to be announced in the coming weeks too. Stay tuned: it’s gonna be a Hull of a week.

Tickets for the 53 Degrees North conference are available now. Get them HERE.

This year’s partners also include AOO Studios, The Music Consortium, Under The Influence, Keychange, The Joe Strummer Foundation, Ticket Web, PRS for Music and PPL.
