Newcomer Elke shares the blistering ‘Without The I’

Kayla Graninger’s first step is an intoxicating shot of guitar pop.

Newcomer Elke - aka American Kayla Graninger - has emerged with a blistering debut single in the form of ‘Without The I’.

The new single is an intoxating slice of guitar pop that’s helmed by Graninger’s huge, punchy vocals and backed by fuzz-drenched guitars.

“I really have owned the fact that I kind of sound like a man,” says Graninger of her singing voice in a press release. “I didn’t do that for a really long time. Now I have this and I can be really loud, and the songs are super emotion-filled with the way that I sing. That’s what I hold closest.”

‘Without The I’ is taken from Elke’s debut EP ‘Bad Metaphors’, which comes out on 20th April via Kobalt.
