Neu Pick: Watch Guillotine’s swirling, one-take video for ‘Southbound’

Watch Guillotine’s swirling, one-take video for ‘Southbound’

The South Coast band’s new three-track ‘Weakness’ is out 27th April via Venn Records/Failure By Design.

Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from Guillotine.

South Coast quartet Guillotine are set to release a new three-track collection called ‘Weakness’ at the end of the month, and their hypnotic, one-take video for its track ‘Southbound’ is our Neu Pick for today.

True to the track’s ever-present darkness, the new video is a swirling, shape-shifting clip. ‘Southbound’ is a melodic thrash through supremely catchy punk. Harsh, gravelly vocals then explode in its chorus, turning the track into something altogether sharper.

The band are set to play a handful of shows across April and May, including dates with Tigers Jaw and Bellevue Days.

View the dates and watch the ‘Southbound’ video below.

‘Weakness’ comes out physically via Venn Records and digitally via Failure By Design on 27th April.
