Eyes on the prize IDLES, The 1975, Brockhampton, Arctic Monkeys and more up for BRIT Awards

George Ezra and Dua Lipa also score a host of nominations each for the February ceremony.

IDLES are up for a BRIT Award! DIY’s August cover stars are up for British Breakthrough as the nominations for this year’s awards get announced.

The 1975 are also up for BRITs for British Group, and British Album for ‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships’.

The band are joined in the latter category by George Ezra, who’s nominated for last March’s ‘Staying At Tamara’s in one of three nominations.

Dua Lipa leads the way in the list, nominated for four BRITs.

Other surprises come in the form of Brockhampton, who are up for International Group, Kamasi Washington (International Male) and Aphex Twin (British Male).

Arctic Monkeys also make an appearance - they’re up for British Group.

The 2019 BRIT Awards take place on 20th February at London’s O2 Arena.
