blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus and Alex Gaskarth, frontman of Maryland pop-punkers All Time Low have teamed up for a new project.

Simple Creatures is their collective name, and the pair have shared a debut track, ‘Drug’.

An EP is set to follow in March, though exact details of release are yet to be announced.

A note posted on the pair’s website says:

“Hi. We are Simple Creatures. We just woke up from a very long sleep. We have so much to tell you, but for the moment, all we can say is that we are glad you are here.

We made music for you …”
