The New Zealand-born, Glasgow-based newcomer releases his debut track.

With influences ranging from the xx to Grimes, New Zealand newcomer MOY has dropped his debut track and video today, and it’s time to start paying attention.

Sharing ‘Start Me Up’, it’s a groovy indie number that show’s the up-and-comers promise. “‘Start Me Up’ is about me starting again, helping and needing a friend, being in a depressive state of mind, and the acceptance of not overcoming it,” he explains. “I made the video in the studio we’ve been recording at in Glasgow with a help of a couple friends.”
