Andre 3000 Uncertain About Future In Music

“Things are kind of up in the air” for the Outkast star.

Andre 3000 has spoken about his future in music being uncertain.

After the release of Outkast’s sixth studio album, ‘Idlewild’, back in 2006, Andre 3000 took a step back from the music scene whilst his partner, Big Boi, has gone on to release two solo albums. Big Boi even tweeted that Andre 3000 would be release his own solo album this year, something that Andre says he has no concrete plans for.

Speaking to press, Andre 3000 explained how he missed making new music and having ‘blinders’, going on to explain he was far more cautious now as people judge everyone to a much greater extent.

With regards to making new music he made the following comments: ‘Things are kind of up in the air with me, and some days, I feel like yeah, I’ll do it. Some days, I feel like, I don’t. I don’t know the future of music right now. I have no idea what I do. I honestly don’t,’ he says. ‘I record and I write ideas. I think I’ll always do that, for some reason. But I don’t know if it will go to another artist or will it be my stuff or will it go to some movie? I don’t know. I just kind of keep creating and hopefully, it’ll fall into a slot.’

Andre 3000 has recorded a track ‘Sorry’ for the forthcoming T.I album ‘Trouble Man’, but has said there are no plans for an Outkast reunion, or solo projects at this stage.
