Christopher Owens Announces Debut Solo Album, ‘Lysandre’

The former Girls vocalist’s record will be released in January.

Way back in the distant past - July, to be exact - Christopher Owens announced he was leaving Girls.

Now, he’s back - or at least will be very soon - with his debut solo album.

‘Lysandre’, for that is the record’s title, will be released via Turnstile on 14th January.

The album was inspired by Girls’ first tour in 2008 (‘A coming of age story, a road trip story, a love story’) and named after a girl he met in France (‘Lysandre could easily be mistaken as an album about a love affair. But it’s much more than that’). It was recorded in LA’s Hobby Shop Studios.

Two songs from the record - opening number ‘Lysandre’s Theme’ and ‘Here We Go’ can be streamed now, via SoundCloud.

The tracklisting is confirmed as:

Lysandre’s Theme
Here We Go
New York City
A Broken Heart
Here We Go Again
Riviera Rock
Love Is In The Ear Of The Listener
Everywhere You Knew
Closing Theme
Part Of Me (Lysandre’s Epilogue)
