She’s been eyeing the script since last summer, and now Emma Stone is set to star in drug comedy Little White Corvette.
Screenwriter Michael Diliberti has seen his story picked up by GK Films, but is no longer attached to direct, report Deadline. The theme of Corvette seems to mirror the black comedy of his last piece, 30 Minutes or Less, which saw Jesse Eisenberg as a pizza delivery guy forced to rob a bank with a bomb strapped to his chest.
Little White Corvette follows a brother and sister duo who head to Miami to sell the cocaine they found in their dead father’s car - a million-dollar stash that had been sitting in the trunk since the 1970s. Stone’s older sibling is the wild one, with her little brother the nerd.
Once a director is found (and a co-star) shooting will begin this summer. Stone, who starred in The Help and Crazy Stupid Love last year, will next be seen in The Amazing Spider-Man and Gangster Squad.
