Frightened Rabbit Announce ‘Pedestrian Verse’ Release

The Scottish five-piece have confirmed details of their brand new album release.

The time has come for Frightened Rabbit to let us in on their album secret, and finally, we know when we can expect their latest full-length!

The Scottish five-piece released a taster of what to expect in the form of their ‘State Hospital’ EP which was released a few months ago, but now, they’ve unveiled details of their new album, ‘Pedestrian Verse’.

The band’s debut on major label Atlantic - to which they signed last year - ‘Pedestrian Verse’ is set to be released on the 4th February 2013, and was recorded in Monnow Valley Studio in Rockfield, South Wales, with producer Leo Abrahams.

Speaking to DIY, frontman Scott Hutchison gave us the following insight into their forthcoming album: “On the new record, it’s slightly less about my own life; I’m trying to widen the scope further, deal with wider social environments. There are some directions that people are going to be surprised by. I think it had to happen. I’d trodden that path so many times. I started to notice patterns in my own writing and that, to me, is really unhealthy. I don’t think that’s a positive thing. In order to develop this time, it was natural to me to open it up, and it’s been more exciting.”

The tracklisting for ‘Pedestrian Verse’ is as follows.
