Gruff Rhys & Tony Da Gatorra To Release Collaborative Album

The ‘musically unorthodox, experimental’ record will only get a limited run.

Gruff Rhys and ‘musical freedom fighter’ Tony Da Gatorra will release a collaborative album, ‘The Terror Of Cosmic Loneliness’, this summer.

The ‘musically unorthodox, experimental’ record will only get a limited run, and will be available from 26th July through OVNI / Turnstile Music.

It came about as Gruff is a fan of Tony, so he tracked him down whilst in South America. ‘We spent five days rehearsing a set of songs to play live,’ explains Gruff. ‘Our only shared language was music itself so there was no small talk, just intense concentration on the music. On the final day, as the rehearsals had been so productive, we hooked up some recording equipment and took about five hours out to make this record.’

To coincide with the album’s release, the duo will play at Cardiff’s Clwb Ifor Bach on 29th July, Camp Bestival on 30th July and Field Day on 31st July.
