Jaden Smith Tapped For Teen Assassin Franchise Boy Nobody

Will Smith’s son for adaptation of Allen Zadoff’s forthcoming novel.

Sony want Jaden Smith to star in a new action franchise titled Boy Nobody, report Variety.

The studio are planning to acquire the rights to the teen assassin novel Boy Nobody by Allen Zadoff, the first book in a planned trilogy set to hit shelves next spring. The Bourne-esque story follows a teenage soldier developed to act without emotions, with the author describing his protagonist as a ‘young soldier trained not to feel; who could function in every situation without fear, sympathy or anger; who could assassinate strangers and then walk away emotionally unscathed.’

The young actor, son of Will Smith, had success with the remake of The Karate Kid, and starred with his father in The Pursuit of Happyness. The pair are currently filming M. Night Shyamalan’s sci-fi After Earth, with the younger Smith playing a young boy navigating an ‘abandoned and sometimes scary Earth to save himself and his estranged father (Smith senior) after their ship crashes.’ Zoe Kravitz, Sophie Okonedo and Isabelle Fuhrman co-star, with a 7th June 2013 release date scheduled.
