Jim Caviezel has been cast opposite Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzennegger in The Tomb.
Producer Mark Canton let slip the news on The Matthew Aaron show, which was picked up by JoBlo.com.
The Tomb stars Stallone as Ray Breslin, the world’s foremost authority on structural security who has to escape from the master prison of his own design. Schwarzenegger plays a complex inmate with multiple shades of grey, ‘who fights to keep the prisoners from losing their humanity in their darkest hour as they struggle together to stay alive.’
Canton revealed Caviezel will be playing the role of the warden of the prison in which Schwarzenegger and Stallone attempt to escape from. Mikael Håfström (The Rite, Evil) directs from a story by Miles Chapman, rewritten by Jason Keller.
Caviezel is famous for his starring roles in The Passion of the Christ and The Thin Red Line. After working on The Prisoner, he’s enjoying further success on the small screen with Person of Interest.
